As in Hinduism, her four arms symbolize the four aims of humanity: dharma (pursuit of ethical, moral life), artha (pursuit of prosperity, means of living), kama (pursuit of love, emotional fulfillment), and moksha (pursuit of self-knowledge, enlightenment).
